ELF Lessons 4 - 15
Lesson 4:
Read Exodus 3:14 according
to God, what is his name?
“I am who I am.”
I am is his name.
The tetragrammaton is
his eternal, covenant name.
Since Jesus is our example
Q: why do you think that Jesus only refer to Yahweh as
“Father” ?
The tetragrammaton is not in the new testament at all.
Since Jesus is our saviour, and we pray in his name as the mediator, isn’t his
personal name important, too? What is the personal name of the Son of God?
Isa 9:6 – Wonderful councilor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace
Jesus said that we will be Witnesses of him (Acts 1:8). And that his is the only name by which we are
saved (Acts 4:10-12 ).
Q: why isn’t the
organization known that Jesus (Yeshua) Witnesses?
Q: or should it be Michael Witnesses?
Romans 10:9-13
Why is this verse being used to support using Jehovah?
Jesus is identified at the Lord in these verses. Read Greek interlinear.

Is there one example in the New Testament of the name Yahweh or Jehovah being used
in an evangelism context? (in the original Greek)
Lesson 6:
Did the Father create the world or did Micheal the Archangle create the world?
Gen 1 – God created the world through his word
But
John 1:3 – the word (Jesus or Michael) created
everything
Lesson 7:
“Although Jehovah is invisible, he is a real Person”.
The Holdy Spirit “not a person, but the force”
How you define a person?
Are angels & demons considered persons? Why?
Traits of the Holy Spirit: He speaks, feels (can be grieved), thinks (directs, witnesses, teaches,
searches, testifies), can be lied to & blasphemed. Are those not characteristics of
personhood?
Matthew 10:20 "for it is not you who speak, but the
Spirit of your Father who speaks in you."
Mark 3:29 “but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has
forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation”
Acts 1:16 "the Holy Spirit spoke”
Acts 5:3 "why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit”
Acts 8:29 "Then the Spirit said to Philip
Acts 10:19 “the Spirit said to him”
Acts 13:2 "the Holy Spirit said”
Acts 16:6-7 "forbidden by the Holy Spirit”
Acts 20:22-23 “the Holy Spirit testifies”
Acts 21:11 'Thus says the Holy Spirit”
More Holy Spirit speaking: Acts 28:25, Revelation 2:7, repeated…
Romans 8:13-16 "The Spirit Himself bears witness”
Romans 8:26 “the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings"
Romans 8:27 "…knows what the mind of the Spirit is”
1 Corinthians 2:10 "For the Spirit searches all things”
1 Corinthians 2:13 " the Holy Spirit teaches”
Ephesians 4:30 "And do not grieve the Holy Spirit
Hebrews 10:15-17 "But the Holy Spirit also
witnesses to us
1 John 5:6-8 " And it is the Spirit who bears witness
Revelation 22:17 The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who
hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires
take the water of life without price."
Lesson 8:
John 1:12 says that anyone who received Jesus becomes a child of God.
Romans 8:9-17 – there are only 2 options: in the spirit (child of God) or in
the flesh (dead). There isn’t a third option for being a friend.
Gal 3:26 – So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith
1 Jn 3 - See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!
Lesson 13:
Do only false religions go to war?
That would mean that Yahweh of the bible is a false god.
Was God wrong to tell Israel to go into battle against other nations?
1 - Gen 14:1-20: Nations near Sodom and Gomorrah
2 - Ex 17:8-15: Amalekites

+ dozens more….
If governments & war is wrong, why doesn’t Jesus tell the Roman officer to
leave his leave his position in the Roman army?
He praises him for having the
most faith, but doesn’t’ say anything negative about his work.
Luke 7:1-10
