ELF Lesson 15: Jesus

The watchtower teaches that there is only a physical body – people don’t have immaterial souls or spirits. 
Q: how was ‘Jesus’ life transferred from heaven to the womb of Mary’ ?

“resurrected as a spirit “ 
Q: If people don’t have spirits, and Jesus was fully man when on earth, how was he resurrected as a spirit?
Q: If Jesus was only resurrected as a spirit, then he didn’t have victory over sin & death – which was the point of him dying for us

1Cor 15:54-55 “Death has been swallowed up in victory. Where, O Death, is your victory? Where, O Death, is your sting?”

Q: Why isn't the term "powerful spirit creature" defined better? 

Nowhere in the ELF book does it teach the Watchtower theology that Jesus is really Micheal the archangel. 
So a student could be baptised without knowing this key theology. 
Q: Isn't this deceptive? 


Elsewhere on the website defines Jesus is Michael the archangel.
1 Thessalonians 4:​16) Jesus has “an archangel’s voice” because he is the archangel, Michael.
 

Questions to understand how Jesus is Michael

We cease to exist when we die, right? 

Jesus was just a man, right? (Michael the archangel ceased to be, Jesus became man on earth, died, then Micheal came back into being, right?)

SO THEN: 
Q: Is Micheal the archangel your saviour or is Jesus? 

Q: The New World Translation was altered by the Watchtower to change "Lord" to "Jehovah" in the New Testament where they think that it should be. So why didn't they change all of the post - crucifixion names from Jesus to Micheal? 

Q: Why does the Watchtower, governing body, all members use the name Jesus if Jesus has ceased to be & only Micheal exists? 

Q: Jesus doesn't exist anymore, so why do you pray in Jesus's name? Names matter more than ever when in prayer & spiritual warfare - why are you not praying in the name of Micheal?

Q: Why is the foundation of the religion that Jesus returned in 1914, not Micheal? 

Q: Why didn't Micheal correct all of his followers after he joined the apostles to teach them for 40 days after Jesus ceased to exist? 

Q: If Jehovah created Micheal & then Micheal created everything else, including you, why do you worship Jehovah instead of your creator, Micheal? 

John 1:1
Q: Is Jesus the word or is Micheal the word? 
If Jesus didn't exist until he was a man on earth, he can't be the word. 

Luke 23:43
Q: If Jesus is just a man who doesn't exist after death, how can the thief be with him in Paradise?

Q: If people don't have spirits, why did Jesus say "Father, into Your hands I commit My Spirit."

Jude 9 – Michael didn’t go up against the devil himself: “the LORD rebuke you”. Since Jesus was given all authority on heaven & earth, if Michael was Jesus, Michael should have been able to rebuke Satan directly

John 1:3 Jesus created ALL things. Micheal is created, so he couldn’t have created himself (look at the Greek – no “other”)

1 Cor 6:3 "Do you not know that we are to judge angels?"
Q: if humans are to judge angels, does that mean that we are going to judge the judge? Judge the creator?

Watchtower teaches that your death pays for your sins 
"People who die are acquitted of, or pardoned for, their sins"  
"Death is the full and complete punishment for sin."
Q: Then why do you need a savior? What is Jesus saving you from? 

2 Cor 5:10 - Jesus will judge everyone for the deeds done when alive
Rom 2:5 - storing up wrath for yourself for judgment 
John 5:24 - 29 - believing is Jesus has eternal life, those not with Christ receives a resurrection of judgment (not paradise)

Romans 14:11 It is written: “’As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.’”

Lesson 23:

“The Son” is Jesus Christ, who gave his life for us. (Romans 6:23) We cannot gain salvation unless we recognize and appreciate Jesus’ key role in God’s purpose for mankind”
 

Q: Why does this book constantly play down or skirt around that we have to accept Jesus as our saviour?

Who is your mediator?

  The Watchtower teaches that Jesus is only the mediator for the "anointed class" "Likewise, the Greater Moses, Jesus Christ, is not the Mediator between Jehovah God and all mankind. GB history:  January 1st 1976, authority shifted from the President to Governing Body members   Lesson 20:   " the Governing Bo dy gives direction to the global congregation.But these men are not the leaders of our organization."   v.s.
