Memorial Questions

Does the watchtower not teach that Jesus is still alive?

Why hold a memorial for someone who's alive?
The word "memorial" is not in scripture

Who raised Jesus from the dead?
Acts 2:32 - the Father
John 2:18 - 22 - Jesus
Romans 8:11 - Holy Spirit

Was Jesus raised in corporeal form or as a spirit?
Luke 24:39 - touch my flesh
John 2:19-22 - raise my body
Acts 17-31 - a man
1 Tim 2:5- the man JC

Why do they still do it if Jesus returned in 1914?
1 Cor 11:26 "...until he arrives"

Why only once a year?
Early church did it weekly (Acts 2: 21-22; Acts 20:6-7)

Only the 144,000 anointed partake?
So were the 12 celebrating the Passover with Jesus anointed?

When was the 144,000 filled?

Charles T.Russel said 1881 Studies In the Scriptures Series II - The Time Is At Hand 1915 ed. p.235
"... we recognize A.D. 1881 as marking the close of the high calling, or invitation to the blessing peculiar to this age - to become joint-heirs with Christ and partakers of the divine nature."  Judge

Joseph Rutherford said 1931 Watchtower 1933 Dec 1 pp.356-357
"The facts in harmony with and therefore in fulfillment of the prophetic parable show that in 1931, ... all who had the love of Christ delighted to know that the last ones coming into the service were to share this honour equally with those who had been long in the service. The anointed who continue to maintain their integrity toward God will share this honor, and no others could have it."

Nathan Knorr said 1935
Watchtower 1966 Feb 15 pp.116-123
Watchtower 2007 May 1 p.30

So why is the number of partakers increasing again since 2007?
year 2000 - 8,661 partakers
year 2023 - 22,312 partakers

Why was the WatchTower Memorial ritual secret until 1938?

The society seems to really focus on avoiding all things pagan / occult. So why would they mimic the satanic Black Mass? (same date - biggest celebration of the occult on a full moon).
Observing, passing & rejecting the bread & wine as the body & blood of Christ is practiced by: occultists, witches, satanic churches & some Jewish sects. Rejecting the bread & wine in considered a satanic rejection of Jesus in the world.

Dead without his blood

Jesus's sacrifice was for ALL
1 Tim 2:6
1 John 2:2
